Lady Purple Tiger Athlete of the Week

Daejah Maklary was chosen “Lady Purple Tiger Athletes of the Week” last week against Upperman scoring 7 points and caught 2 charges on defense.

Boys Purple Tiger Athletes of the Week

Rayquan Verge and Brayden Cousino were chosen “Boys Purple Tiger Athletes of the Week” last week against Gordonsville. Rayquan Verge scored 23 points and Brayden Cousino scored 16.

Lady Purple Tiger Athletes of the Week

Brittni Allison and Emma Christensen was chosen “Lady Purple Tiger Athletes of the Week” last week. Brittni Allison broke the record scoring eight 3 pointers in the game against Trousdale County coming out with 34 points.  Emma Christensen scored 20 points but was 8/8 from 2 point range in the game against Hendersonville. 

Season Recap on the Lady Tigers

“The Watertown Lady Tigers are halfway through the regular season and have a record of 10 Wins and 7 Losses. The season opened up on 11/21 with a loss to Westmoreland, but the Lady Tigers bounced back with two wins against Portland and East Robertson. The Lady Tigers placed 2nd at the annual Watertown Christmas tournament

Elijah Williams was chosen “Purple Tiger Athlete of the Week” last week beating both Macon and Dekalb County averaging 18.5 points.

Watertown’s 13 members of the All-Region 4-AA

Congratulations goes out to these 13 members of the 2019 WATERTOWN HIGH SCHOOL “PURPLE-TIGER” FOOTBALL TEAM, & their Coach, Gavin Webster. Each of these 13 players were selected ALL-REGION 4-AA.  Coach Webster was named the Region 4-AA Coach of the Year. Watertown’s Athletes of the Week

Watertown’s “Ladies Basketball Athlete of the Week” goes to the guard Emma Christensen. In Watertown’s first home win Emma scored 18 points. Watertown’s “Boys Basketball Athletes of the Week” goes to Quanterrius Hughes-Malone and Rayquan Verge. In the 2 games against Jackson County and Gordonsville Quanterrius averaged 16 points. And playing guard position, Rayquan averaged 18.5

Watertown High School’s “Athlete of the Week”

John Greer Jr. announces “Football Athlete of the Week” recognizing a true talent in Watertown’s receiver Elijah Williams (15). He caught 2 passes for 22 yards and scored a touchdown in the game against Bledsoe County November the 15th (35-21) to win the 2nd round.
