The boys cross country team ran in the state championship meet Thursday, November 5 at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville. The team placed 8th among the 22 state qualifying teams…a Watertown Cross Country program best! Braden Leffew placed 24th (out of 160 runners) and finished his senior season with a personal best of 18:09. He now holds the Watertown High School cross country record. Greer Davis followed at 29th with a personal best of 18:23. Matthew McKinley came in at 39th with an 18:49, again a personal best. Joe Braydon Roberts and Dylan Hight rounded out our top five runners, bringing the boys to their 8th place seat. Jess Riddle and Gavin Ogle finished strong for our 7-runner team. Gavin also ran a career best.
