Tigers News · Watertown Boys Soccer Beats Smith County to Take the Second Straight District Title

Watertown repeated as District 7-A champions with a 4-0 shutout of Smith County on Wednesday night.
Jared Tomson posted his second straight hat trick while Brody Sweckard had the Purple Tigers’ other goal. Cole Miller and Aidan Usher posted assists.
Tomson, who was named district Most Valuable Player, scored five minutes into the game. He extended a 2-0 halftime lead with 13 minutes left by dribbling through Smith County’s defense to score. Sweckard scored the finale two minutes later.
The Tigers’ Nathan Fish was named goalkeeper of the year. Miller, Usher, Anthony Rodriguez and Evan Gannaway were named first-team all-district while Stephen Clifford and Jessie Brewster were tabbed second team.
