Tigers News · Nine-run Fifth Propels Lady Tigers Past Cannon 14-6


WATERTOWN — Watertown scored nine times in the bottom of the fifth inning Thursday en route to a 14-6 win over Cannon County.
The Lady Lions had built a 6-2 lead through 4 1/2 innings before Watertown erupted. The Lady Tigers tacked on three more in the sixth as they finished with 13 hits.
McKenna George and Madi Reeder doubled as each drove in two runs for the Lady Purple Tigers. George, Brittni Allison, Ridge Morgan and Jada Moss knocked in two runs apiece as they and Madi Hearn had two hits apiece.
Freshman Bre Buhler pitched five innings and picked up the win after allowing six runs on nine hits. Zoe Baskin finished up.
