Varsity Girls Basketball · Macon County Downs Lady Purple Tigers

LAFAYETTE — Defending Class AA state runner-up Macon County took no prisoners against Watertown on Tuesday night in an 89-40 trouncing.

The host Lady Tigers led the Lady Purple Tigers 37-17 following the first quarter and 52-20 at halftime.

Saranda Woodson finished with 14 points for Watertown while Brittni Allison added nine, Ashlea Dickens seven, Delanney Hight and Morgan Bain three each and Emma Christensen and Alie Tunks two a piece.

Watertown will play host to DeKalb County at 6 p.m. Friday.
