Game Recap

A rain make-up from Monday, the second half of the double header had the Purple Tigers and Gordonsville playing into the cold of the night. The game was tied at eight with Purple Tigers batting in the top of the twelfth when
Senior Kannan Akins put the ball in play with the bases loaded to score the go ahead run.
Gordonsville scored five runs in the third inning on two Watertown errors, but the Purple Tigers still managed to pull out the victory.
Vastola earned the win for Purple Tigers. He went seven innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and struck out ten.
Purple Tigers collected 12 hits. Price, Jarred Bradshaw, Peyton Flatt, and Vastola each collected multiple hits for Purple Tigers. Vastola, Flatt, Bradshaw, and Price all had two hits to lead Purple Tigers.
