Game Recap

Whitlock, Vastola, and Akins lead the Purple Tigers over Gordonsville 10-3 on Tuesday. Purple Tigers scored on a single by Brandon Allison, a single by Bo Whitlock, a single by Kolbe Sanders, and a double by Jarred Bradshaw in the second inning to jump ahead 5-1, and never look back.
Kannan Akins earned the win for Purple Tigers. He pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs, four hits, and striking out one. Davis took the loss for Gordonsville. He tossed five innings, allowing eight runs, 11 hits, striking out four, and walking one.
Purple Tigers had 14 hits in the game. Whitlock, Tyler Vastola, Akins, and Heath Price each collected multiple hits for Purple Tigers. Bradshaw, Whitlock, and Akins each drove in two runs to lead Purple Tigers. Purple Tigers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.
