Game Recap

Watertown defeated Fairview 11-4 in a back-and-forth affair on Friday. The game was tied at four with the Purple Tigers batting in the top of the fifth when Tyler Vastola’s 3 run blast proved to be enough to put the Yellow Jackets away.
Vastola led the Purple Tigers with 6 RBIs on a 2nd inning homerun, a groundout in the fourth, and the 3 run shot the fifth. The Watertown bats stayed hot and produced four runs when Sr. Seth Price took one over the fence. Sr. Jarred Bradshaw and So. Brandon Allison also added to Watertown’s 15 hits.
Price started the game for the Purple Tigers. He tossed two and two-thirds innings, giving up one run, zero hits, and striking out two. Lain Hindsley earned the win for Watertown pitching one and one-third innings, giving up three runs, and three hits.
Purple Tigers had 15 hits in the game. Bradshaw, So. Heath Price, Sr. Kolbe Sanders, and Vastola each collected multiple hits for Purple Tigers.
